Justin Sysum stars in new Barclaycard TV ad
Wrestling Agency star Justin Sysum stars in a brand new TV advertising campaign by Barclaycard.
Sysum appears in new commercials about two long-suffering partners who each have different unique obsessions - one of them being professional wrestling!
Justin flew to Serbia to film scenes for the Barclaycard ad now being screened on TV and in cinemas.
The WOS Champion, who sported a blond wig for the shoot, plays one of the wrestlers who takes on ‘The Karen’ in hard-hitting action!
Justin said he’d had an “amazing week” on the shoot.
“Serbia is a hidden gem, definitely worth a visit,” he said.
“Belgrade was full of life and the people were very friendly and helpful. The shoot was a really great experience too, It was a really big deal and i feel very privileged to be part of it. The resulting ad is hilarious!”
The TV adverts - released on August 31 - will appear in a series of spots including on hit ITV show Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions Return.
Other wrestlers involved were fight co-ordinator Greg Burridge, Lana Austin who was stunt double for the actor who plays Karen, and Ed Gamester.
A Barclaycard spokesman said: “The first film features the hero protagonists at a wrestling event.
“While the woman is clearly a super fan, her long-suffering partner consoles himself with the fact that he saved on the tickets with Barclaycard. He allows his mind to wander off to his alternative ‘happy place’ enjoying all of the sights and sounds of a classic music festival.
“In the second film the reverse situation plays out. The setting of the advert is now the music festival where the man in the couple is having the time of his life. His wrestling-loving partner is less enamoured and drifts off to her ‘happy place’ – the drama of the ring where she suddenly enjoys a starring role.
“The campaign has been commissioned to highlight the additional value, perks and offers available to Barclaycard cardholders across a huge range of events – including savings on thousands of tickets and access to exclusive festival pre-sales, as well as savings of five per cent on food and drink at 02 Academy venues.”
